All Grown Up! 30th Birthday Marks Turning Point for OpenWorks

OpenWorks, an integrated facility services company based in Phoenix, AZ, celebrates its 30th anniversary this month. Founded in 1983 by current CEO Eric Roudi, OpenWorks has established itself as the premier franchisor and facility services provider in the industry. OpenWorks’ mission, “to improve your results by consistently making your facility cleaner, safer, and healthier,” has lived up to the mantra for three decades. Now, with regional offices in Phoenix, Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Dallas, CEO Eric Roudi can recall OpenWorks’ inception, “I run better and faster from behind, and I still relish the role of underdog and the challenges that position brings.” In 1980, after turning a facility services company of $300,000 per-year into a $5.5 million per-year operation, Roudi knew that starting his own company was his calling. And now, exceeding $50 million annually with OpenWorks, “it’s only the beginning,” says Roudi.Over the years, OpenWorks has developed a proven unit franchise business model that has supported thousands of franchisees. “OpenWorks has helped me become successful,” says Theresa Reyes of Phoenix, Arizona, who’s been a franchisee since 1998.“We feel great about the success we’ve achieved for ourselves and our franchisees,” says Roudi. “And now that we’re all grown up, I think the next thirty years will be even better.”
