OpenWorks Expands to Minneapolis

OpenWorks, one of America’s leading integrated facility services franchises, has announced plans to expand into the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan market and offer its full-scale line of facility cleaning and maintenance services to customers in the area.

The company began operations at the beginning of December and will move into its permanent offices in Bloomington after the start of the new year. OpenWorks will be able to serve an extensive territory of businesses within a 50-mile radius from downtown Minneapolis, covering areas such as St. Paul, Minnetonka, Bloomington and western Wisconsin. This will be OpenWorks’ second regional operation in the Midwest, as they also an office in the Chicago market.

OpenWorks has provided customized cleaning solutions for a wide range of facilities and offices for more than 30 years. OpenWorks uses an environmentally “clean green” program to provide businesses with a clean, safe work environment. Last year they added additional services such as landscaping, electrical and plumbing to help meet the extensive needs of each facility they serve.

Dominic D’Arpino has been hired as the area’s Regional Director, overseeing the growth and development of the region by creating and maintaining new business and franchise partnerships. D’Arpino has spent the last eight years in the Minneapolis market, including a five-year stint as National Sales Manager for startup company Neurotech. While at Neurotech, he coordinated the company’s business operations, sales and marketing efforts.

OpenWorks currently has one Minneapolis company it is serving, and D’Arpino is in discussions with several other area businesses. OpenWorks will be able to offer local companies a single point of contact to handle all their facility service needs, including specialty floor care, landscaping, pest control and window cleaning. D’Arpino said the franchise is a good fit for the Minneapolis market, which has a high concentration of medical facilities and are the types of facilities that frequently utilize OpenWorks’ services. They can serve a wide range of buildings that also include private office, retail spaces and educational facilities.

D’Arpino has had initial meetings with prospective franchise owners and anticipates adding at least two by the end of the first quarter of 217. OpenWorks is an attractive option for potential franchisees. The company provides all necessary equipment as part of the franchise fee and handles all sales as well as collections and billing. By having a guaranteed client base and not dealing with sales responsibilities, owners can focus on facility service and meeting the needs of their customers. D’Arpino is currently in the process of hiring two account executive staff members for the Minnesota office to handle all sales responsibilities.

“Minnesota is a growing market with a large amount of companies that can benefit from the wide range of services OpenWorks is able to provide to clean and maintain their facilities,” said D’Arpino. “Similarly, OpenWorks is a rapidly growing company with a proven track record of success. We offer a great franchise ownership opportunity for local entrepreneurs seeking to create a successful career for themselves.”

OpenWorks Founder and CEO Eric Roudi cited the growth of the Twin Cities market as one of the top reasons for the company’s expansion to the area.

“There are a lot of new residents and businesses coming to the Minneapolis-St. Paul market and we feel the location is a great fit for OpenWorks,” said Roudi. “Dominic has considerable experience in the market and will be able to provide great opportunities for local businesses and entrepreneurs.”

The Minnesota office marks the fifth new market OpenWorks has expanded into in 2016. Earlier this year the franchise added new offices in Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Austin and San Diego. OpenWorks currently has more than 360 franchises in nine states.
